Well watched another one. I can’t even really get into watching the episodes anymore. The piano music starts playing and I just kind of tune out. I watched this last episode while I was cleaning the house, so I might of missed a few things but I doubt it matters.
The kid centric bullshit in the this show is just ridiculous, I mean come on. In the beginning the crazy idiot guy with his wife and kid rob the medical supplies, pistol whip the pretty doctor and then shoot at the soldiers and the stupid history professors says “Don’t shoot, he’s got a kid with him”. Who the hell is that dialogue for? I don’t think when I was teenager that would have been that believable then. Is this show aimed at preteens? How young an audience are they shooting for? The original ads made it look like a real show… was I the only one who was fooled? Another hilarious line from the show was at some point later the professor says “kids are the future and their safety comes first”. Maybe, but not usually in real life. You see if the adults die, then mostly the kids will die or be captured or whatever. If the kids die and the adults survive, then the adults can make more kids.
Anyways I thought it was kind of obvious something was up when the other soldier guy came and said he needed to take all the kids ahead because their base at the school was going to be attacked. I would say that story arc was the only interesting thing that happened the entire episode.
The part where the blonde rebel girl from Pope’s gang taught the doctor to shoot was pretty corny. Actually for a second when they were all close and laughing together I thought they might start making out. That would have thrown me for a loop: some lesbian kissing in the middle of Falling Skies. But no they just made corny jokes.
Oh yeah another black guy bit the dust. If you are a black guy and on the good guys’ side better prepare yourself to get killed. Honestly have any white guys died on the good side. I guess you can count the doctor from last episode.
