Well there is a bunch of guys out there standing still in a group who want to kill me. Should I quietly aim and shoot one or two before they can get to cover? Naw I'll just yell and shoot wildly out the door

Well still watching, and it still isn’t really getting better. Which kind of sucks because the actual sci-fi story line is good.  What happened in this episode … a lady gave birth, the military guy helped move the baby, the religious Mexican girl played the piano, the kids played soccer, the Mexican girl sang. Whole lot of exciting stuff right? Oh yeah another black good guy dies, actually two black guys and a white guy die on the good team, but the first black guy who dies doesn’t actually have a name or lines so not sure if he counts.

Oh yeah Pope came back and he is really the only interesting character in the show.  It really didn’t make sense that he spared one of the traitors’ lives though. I mean he comes back later in the show and starts killing the collaborators, so why didn’t he take out that one when he had the chance. Maybe because it was close quarters with a knife and they didn’t want to show it…whereas someone shooting a gun and someone else falling down in the distance is acceptable in family television.

One thing that is pretty laughable is that no one seems to aim their guns, they also don’t seem to sneak attack people. When the kids were escaping they could have possibly taken out a couple of the guards, who were totally unaware.  Also how about the traitor daughter who yells to warn the others they are escaping. They did nothing to her.  They could have at least knifed her real quick to shut her up. Then at the end when they see her a second time, again they do nothing to her.

The funniest part was at the end when the Mexican girl started singing.  I actually laughed out loud at that point.

Ok watched episode number 4 and it’s basically a pretty mediocre sci-fi show.  Some of the scenes with the father and son are very soap opera. The cute kids are floating around.  If they killed off all the characters that are under 18 it would become a better show.

They find out the alien sends out some sort of weak radio signal that it uses to control harnessed people. Basically the black kid Rick looks like a lost cause. There is some more foreshadowing that some how the “skitters” are controlled by some other alien life. These bits are what kind of make the show worth watching. I am curious to find out more about the aliens.

There are some scenes where the military guy and the father talk about how they would do anything for their kids, it’s very tiresome. I also was thinking that shouldn’t someone in the military be more disciplined. I mean there have been a lot of wars and people didn’t all just run home to run away with their kids.  They fought and hoped for the best for their families but still kept fighting, well most of them. I’m sure some people left the fight and ran off with their kids.  They would be deserters, wouldn’t they?

Then later there is some more bullshit with the kids.  They are surrounded by harnessed zombie kids who are trying to kill them, and the father won’t shoot them because they are kids. Then later the military guy says something like “no one could shoot them”.  What a bunch of crap, if some zombie vegetable kids were trying to kill me I would shoot them without any hesitation. Hell, in real wars when there are fights they burn up civilians, kids, women whatever, if that is what it takes to stay alive.

Then there is some religious nonsense with the little sexy light skin Mexican girl, who manages to be in full makeup even though everyone else is all dirt streaked. She talks about faith and being thankful and people all act like they care. Oh yeah then they eat the bread which was made by the convict guy Pope whom they gave a cooking job last episode.  He escapes right before this, so I was wondering if he took a crap in the bread or something.
